The inaugural Malaysian Congress of Geriatric Medicine was held at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Kedah, marking the beginning of MCGM as a platform for advancing the practice of Geriatric Medicine in Malaysia.

Welcomed over 630 participants from 14 countries, bringing together a diverse community of healthcare professionals.
Attendees represented more than 20 professional roles, including geriatricians, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, lecturers, researchers, medical officers, general practitioners, students and etc.
With more than 120 abstracts received, MCGM 2026 showcased a broad range of research, clinical perspectives, and insights in Geriatric Medicine.
